Important Message on Contract Ratification Ballots June 20, 2006
This is Tom Brantley with a message for Tuesday, June 20, 2006. This is a special message regarding the recent mailing of ratification materials to members of the Technical Operations (AF) bargaining unit.
On June 16, all PASS members in the Technical Operations (AF) bargaining unit were mailed balloting materials in connection with the ratification vote regarding the tentative Technical Operations (AF) collective bargaining agreement. After the balloting materials were mailed, we discovered that an administrative error had been made by the outside company responsible for printing and mailing the ratification documents. Specifically, the return envelope did not contain the member’s name so that membership status can be verified prior to the tallying process. This error necessitated the reprinting and re-mailing of REPLACEMENT balloting materials.
Replacement balloting materials will be sent out to members this week. The new mailing will include a REPLACEMENT ratification ballot, secret ballot envelope and postage-paid return envelope. A copy of the tentative agreement reached between PASS and the FAA for a new seven-year Technical Operations agreement was included in the original mailing and will not be sent again. However, if you need an additional copy, please contact the national office.
To be counted, your REPLACEMENT ratification ballot must be received at the national office on or before 5:00 p.m. ET on July 31, 2006. EVEN IF YOU ALREADY VOTED BY MAILING IN YOUR ORIGINAL BALLOT, IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO VOTE AGAIN BY USING THE REPLACEMENT BALLOTING MATERIALS.
If you have any questions about the tentative agreement, the ratification process or any other matter related to this issue, please feel free to contact your regional vice president or me.
Fraternally,
Tom Brantley PASS National President
